The boys' Year 10 team played well in the National NatWest Cup for the first time in the school’s history. They reached the 4th round before being beaten by a strong Backwell side. Ten players from various age groups are now part of the Bristol Rugby development programme, with a further three who are part of the Bristol academy teams. The boys enjoyed an end of season trip to watch the NatWest cup finals at Twickenham.
Girls' Football Academy
The girls' football academy has continued to grow in size and now has 20 players from Years 7 to 10. They have played in several fixtures over the year with the highlight being a 8-7 thriller against Cathedral School. The girls are going to enjoy an end of season trip to watch the Women’s FA Cup final featuring Man City and Birmingham.
This year, the Rowing Academy has seen 10 new members with a complete overhaul. Students are currently in Years 7 to 9 and have been completing fitness training as a team every Thursday since September. After Christmas we started on the water where the team are now beginning to look comfortable off the ropes. The weather has been absolutely horrendous some weeks but attendance to the club has been 100% since day one.
