Apprentice Loni encourages students to consider a career in finance
Oasis Academy Brightstowe

Hoping to inspire students during National Careers Week is our financial apprentice, Loni Tanner.

Loni has been at Oasis Academy Brightstowe for over a year, and has just passed her Level 2 Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification, with flying colours.

She was awarded a Distinction - with a fantastic score of 94% - in January after completing her final exam in December. There were five assessments which Loni had to undertake.

She has been learning about bookkeeping transactions and controls, elements of costing, and using accounting software.

Loni is now working towards her Level 3 AAT qualification.

Loni, who works four days a week in the admin office and spends one day a week at college, said: “I’m really enjoying working here at Oasis Brightstowe … the staff are really friendly, and I’m really enjoying doing the AAT qualification.

“I’d highly encourage students at Oasis to consider accountancy as a future career.”

Loni's has been awarded a Distinction in AAT, Level 2
