The Oasis friendship line phone service

For those who are most at risk from the virus, staying at home can be a desperately lonely experience. We believe that the use of the term ‘social distancing’ is misguided. Instead, we need to find ways of staying ‘socially close’ whilst keeping ourselves ‘physically distanced’. We know from our work in local communities across the UK that kindness, listening and company are just as vital ‘services’ as good health advice or access to food supplies

Because of this, Oasis has launched a 'friendship line' - a phone line for anyone in isolation who is feeling lonely, anxious, or worried. Our national 'friendship line' offers a listening ear. This is not an advice line - it's an offer of company and kindness on the other end of the phone, at a time when many of us really need it.

Our Friendship Line number is 020 7921 4272. It's open from 8am to 3pm (Monday to Friday)

We are also broadcasting a short inclusive 'global gathering' every Sunday morning with reflections, music, and prayer. You are very welcome to join us online, wherever you are in the country - or the world! The gathering will be hosted by Oasis Church Waterloo - please join us at 11am on
