As part of the Academy's Business and Enterprise Day which took place yesterday, Phil Andrews from the David Lloyd Leisure Company came to speak with students about the setting up and running of a successful leisure centre.
The students learnt about how David Lloyd Leisure was set up by the British tennis player David Lloyd in 1980, and how the business has grown into a mutli-million pound empire since then.
Students then brainstormed the key things that customers look for in a leisure centre, and had a go at designing their own! They presented their ideas to the rest of the year group and Phil came back to judge the winner.
Congratulations to Stephenson House who came up with the winning design! The standard of all the presentations was very high.
Aye mate! And welcome to limbo! Problem: I have no idea what page you're trying to work on. You need to define a body ID in the template, then turn on the necessary rows and columns in layout.css. Arrrrgh!
