Julie Winterman retires after successful achievements as Principal of Oasis Academy Brightstowe

It is with mixed feelings that Oasis Community Learning announce that Julie Winterman, Principal of Oasis Academy Brightstowe will be leaving to commence her well-deserved retirement at the end of the Summer term this year.  Mixed, because we are very happy that she is able to plan for a more restful time, but very sad because we will miss her energy, expertise and enthusiasm.

Julie Winterman made a promise to come and work for Oasis for a one-year period to ensure a smooth transition between the predecessor school and the Academy.  Due to her commitment to the staff, students and parents/carers, the one year became two and she has successfully seen some major positive changes during her time as Principal. Results have significantly improved, discipline is excellent and students are firmly engaged both in learning and in activities in the local community.

Steve Chalke, Founder and CEO of Oasis Community Learning said, “We would like to thank Julie for all her hard work and significant contribution in pioneering Oasis Academy Brightstowe. Her passion and tireless commitment to see the Academy succeed has never faltered and we are extremely grateful to her.  She has created a firm foundation on which the Academy can progress to even greater things. We wish her well in her retirement and look forward to seeing her whenever she visits the Academy.”

Mrs Winterman said, “I am confident that this year, before my retirement, we will yet again see improved results here at Oasis Academy Brightstowe. I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing positive change take place for future success, and have every confidence in the strong Academy Leadership Team to keep things moving forward positively as we go through the important process of recruiting my replacement, who will start in September this year.  My thanks go to them and all on the excellent staff team, as well as our students and wider community for making my time at Oasis Academy Brightstowe so rewarding.”

Aye mate! And welcome to limbo! Problem: I have no idea what page you're trying to work on. You need to define a body ID in the template, then turn on the necessary rows and columns in layout.css. Arrrrgh!
