170 students attended from across the Academy, all of whom had achieved 100% attendance during the Autumn term so far.
Principal Julie Winterman came to congratulate the students who were tucking into posh cakes and soft drinks during the lunchtime break.
She said: "Students have had a fantastic attitude towards attendance this term. We have seen record numbers achieving 100% and this is testiment to the seriousness with which they take their education."
This kind of event is just a small part of the work done to support students and improve attendance. Dedicated Attendance Officers work with both the children and their parents to ensure that any problems receive the right level of support.
