The Academy is hosting the event to honour the memory of Jim Tolman: a much loved member of staff who recently passed away from cancer.
Students, staff and local people are invited to join in a 1km Fun Run round our sports field in memory of the former PE teacher.
There will be separate Junior (under 18) and Senior (18 and over) races, and all participants will be required to pay an entry fee of 50p on the day. Drinks will be available for participants free of charge.
10.30am – Fun Run participants register and pay
11.00am – Junior Fun Run
12.00pm – Senior Fun Run
12.30pm – 2.30pm – ‘Bring Your Own’ Family Picnic
Any funds raised will be split equally to fund a memorial to Mr Tolman and to make a donation to Cancer Research UK.
Following the Fun Run, people are invited to stay on until 2.30pm for a ‘Bring Your Own’ family picnic.
Please note that this is a family orientated event and that smoking is not permitted, no alcohol is to be consumed, and no animals are allowed on the premises. Thank you for your co-operation in this.
