“I found revising at home really distracting and when the Academy started the Learning Café, I enjoyed it so much that I came almost every day.
“The café is set up in the hall, and you can grab a laptop when you go in and revise online. The atmosphere there is really calm and quiet and you get brought tea and coffee and a good supply of biscuits while you work.
“I use practice questions and tutorials online to work through my revision. If I want to revise a specific subject I attend the maths, English or science revision classes.
“I really love sport and am studying for my BTEC, so I came to all the PE theory revision classes over Easter. I didn’t mind putting in the extra work over the holidays, as long as I got to play football at some point during the week!
“I’ve now got a place on the Bath U19’s Football Team next year and I can train with them whilst I get my National Diploma in Sport from Wiltshire College. “
